Welcome back to 2015

Welcome back!  It has been a while since I updated this blog, and hopefully this will be the first of many regular posts.  Room 4 has had a great start to the year, with students being cheerful and enthusiastic, both about their learning and about getting to know their new classmates.  Most have their stationery and uniforms, and have returned the permission slips which have been sent home - thank you for that.

Yesterday evening we had a parent meeting in the hall and it was great to meet some of my new parents, and to renew old acquaintances.
Room 4's class meeting this term is to be held on Monday February 23rd, from 6-7pm, in Room 4. This will be a chance for parents and cargivers to hear from the students about their learning, and about what we are doing in Room 4 this term.  It is also a chance for me to hear from parents and caregivers, and to get an understanding of what they see as important, and how we can work together for the students.
I am looking forward to a really exciting year, and it has been an excellent start.
